Jack turned two, and we spent the day eating nothing but sugar laden food: powdered donuts, fruit snacks, banana pudding, cupcakes...and then some yummy Mellow Mushroom pizza. In honor of the Mellow Mushroon and our recent Dark Star Orchestra concert, I made tye-die inspired cupcakes. They were yummy!

Definitely looks like his mama. Wish I could squeeze that boy. Sounds like a fun day. I admire your strength in not having the big, chaotic, birthday party. I think I can do that every year and then I find myself giving in to the madness that is a child's birthday party.
Good news we just got our Hawaiian wacation booked. For a mere $3000+ we will be living it up in the island of aloha. Can't wait. Did you know that that island is in the good ol USA. It is it really is I saw it on the itinerary. THE USA. My homeland. It scares me the money that might fly out of my bank account with access to things like outlet malls and wal mart. The bonus for my budget is that there is no Target. Otherwise Target and my mastercard might just be inseparable. I'm not sure it will really feel like home though since it's not the beautiful commonwealth of Virginia but it's in the states. It will work for now.
